I’m looking for these machines, all in one location if possible

Morticer – The Wadkin MA and the Wadkin Bursgreen have the kind of capacity we need.
Panel saw, with sliding tabe – (sometimes called a beam beanch in the USA). 12 or 14 inch blade with scoring blade. Sheet capacity 10 ft x 10 ft.
Jointer – 16 inch. Needs to have deep fence, about 5 – 6 inch.
    Planner – Capacity around 20 inch x 8 – 9 inch. Or 24 inch x 8 – 9 inch ( more thickness if possible.
Shaper – 1 1/4 inch spindle – single head – good size fence.
Drill Press – 1/2 inch chuck.
Radial Arm Cross Cut – 12 inch blade.

    Hello Arthur,

I’m asking my wife to type this as I’m not a keyboard commando. I would like to buy the Whitney 177 that’s currently on your site. The price is fine. Is it possible to have a phone conversation with you? My number here in Camano Island, WA is: 360-387-1617. I couldn’t be much further from you, location-wise. I’d need to know the shipping information costs, etc. and would wire your bank with the funds once I know this is exactly what I’ve been searching for.

I’d be available for a call anytime tomorrow, the 30th at that home number.

    Thanks very much,
CDR James M. Key USN Ret.

  8. Randy Chaffin says:

Hello, I am trying to find a fence for a “Monarch 8″ Jointer by American Machine & Foundry, made for Dewalt, Lancaster , PA”. I noticed in your blogs, which I found very interesting, that you had seen Monarch machines and I wanted to ask you about the possibility of finding a fence for this machine. It is in very good condition, except for a chunk missing off the fence right above the cutter head. It still functions well, but I would like to restore if possible. Any assistance or advice would be appreciated. Sincerely, Randall B. Chaffin (606)298-7774 daytime

  11. Barry Stup says:

    Hey Arthur,
I could trade you something for two Unipoints…
I really just need the swivel bases – I have a big double cutoff saw system built with two unipoints but they are 90 degree cutoff only – they have power feed racks for the cutting but no ability to angle or miter.

  12. Roger Thomas says:

Hello I am looking for a Wadkin Bursgreen s230 superplane jointer, any help would be graet, thank you Roger

    • The owwm says:

      Roger,
I see these all the time in England. I’ve only see a couple in North America. Given that it’s a 9″ machine, you could easily substitute a 12″ RZ for it. Are you looking at this jointer because you want a smaller footprint? I’ve got some machines coming from the UK in a few months. I’ll keep my eye open for one of these.

      Thanks,

      -Arthur

  13. fred bezenshek says:

I found a pp saw but missing fence and blade guard any leads or drawings
    thanks freddy

    • The owwm says:

      Freddy,
The fence from the PP is pretty much identical to the one from the PK. PL and PJ models. They all mount in a dovetail slot on the table. Fences from most Robinson saws also fit. The crown guard on the PK is much different on the PP than the other models. It’s more squared off and rectangular in shape than those on the earlier saws which were crescent shaped. The early crown guards were also made of brass, where as the PP guard is cast aluminum. I’m attaching some illustrations below. The fence will be difficult. I’ve cast quadrants, but haven’t tried the fence yet. They periodically come up for sale in the UK, but rarely in North America. The guard is a little easier to come by. I see them for sale in the UK quite frequently.

      PK Crown Guard
      PP Crown Guard

      Thanks,

      -Arthur

SCMI, Rockwell, Delta, Invicta Shaper Spindle Assembly, if the spindle is still available please call me, 732-279-8588, will definitely buy it, thanks

      Thanks,

  19. Ryan Keen says:

    Hi Arthur,

Love your site! Can you keep me in mind if you come across a PK or PP that you could stand to part with? I’ve been hunting for a year and a half, but no one I’ve talked to in the UK wants to work with an exporting, zero rate VAT buyer it seems…

    Thanks,

    ~Ryan

    • the owwm says:

      Ryan,
I have three of the PK sliders now and one PK variety saw. Two of the sliders will be available at some point. I’m just trying to get my own shop situated. This could take some time, but I’ll keep you in mind. I’ll also keep my eyes open for one in the rest of the world. I’m starting to think about another shipment from the UK. Where are you located?

      Thanks,

      -Arthur

      • Ryan Keen says:

        Arthur,

Thanks for the reply. I know how it goes with getting a shop set up just right. Your consideration is appreciated.

If you’re interested, I’ve located two PKA’s and a Robinson in the UK with a guy who’s willing to deal. They aren’t listed as of yet, so shoot me an email if you’d like the contact details.

I’m located in south-eastern Illinois, but I’m not afraid of a little road trip for some old arn!

        Thanks again,

  21. Jared Leach says:

I’m inquiring about the 1-1/4″ spindle assemblies as well. I’ve got the measurements and have sent them in email to you but I’m thinking that they aren’t going through.

The machine I have is a Delta RS-15.

The measurements for the taper of the spindle are:
The total taper length (from just under the threads to the bottom of
the machined taper portion is 5.375″.

The diameter at the top of the taper is 1.755″ The diameter of the
taper at the bottom is 1.475″.

    • the owwm says:

      Jared,
I have an 1-1/4″ spindle with 7″ under the nut. Do you require the double nut or do you have it for another spindle?

      Thanks,

      -Arthur

    • Jared Leach says:

I do have a nut that works for my 3/4″ spindle for the machine.

      • Jared Leach says:

Just let know how I can go about purchasing the spindle from you and I’d be more than happy to take it off your hands! I can buy it with the nut or without. It might be good to have it just in case the one I have doesn’t fit for some reason.

        Thanks again!

        –Jared

  24. Bill Thomas says:

    Arthur,
do you still have the Tannewitz 1 1/8″ dado arbor?

    Bill

    • the owwm says:

      Bill,
I believe I have a few. I’m heading to Jersey the week after Christmas. I’ll check it out and get back to you. Which saw do you have?

      Thanks,

      -Arthur

  25. Bill Thomas says:

I have a U. The arbor is 1″ a,d I have a 1″ dado arbor. I picked up a dado set with 1 1/8″ arbor holes. I found a 1 1/8″ stub arbor, but strangely enough, the threads don’t quite match, so I can’t use it. I’d have to try the dado arbor for the same reason.

    • the owwm says:

That is curious. The arbors for the U & XJ line are the same thread. I don’t recall ever coming across one that was different. could be that the threads got messed up at some point and repaired.

      • Bill Thomas says:

Yeah, I couldn’t figure it out. I think the threads are just tighter, but i didn’t want to force anything and risk messing up the motor stub.

  26. Domenico Perrella says:

    Arthur,
On your long ago listing for the Oliver 260-D it says “(Sold but I do have another available).”. Do you still have another? Are you still thinking about selling it? Better yet, do you have any slightly smaller sliding table saws you might part with (Oliver 77, 177 Wadkin PK, PP, Robinson, etc.? I’m intrigued by the 260-D but I’m also a little scared of it’s bulk and the odd rotating dual blade assembly, which just seems to invite things to get out of line.

    Nico
